Save me from being wholly intellectual and emotionally distant; from having to win every argument; from having to dominate every conversation; from being the all knowing teacher and sage; from giving unsolicited advice.
Teach me to have compassion and not fear; to believe in those closest to me–that they will be fine; to accept my best.
Give me the strength and resolve to listen and not respond unless absolutely necessary; to be flexible and not resistant; to walk away when offended; to figure out why I was offended; to accept my failures and mistakes, learn from them, and not feel guilty and beat myself up for them forever and ever,
